FAQs

  • A: There are two ways to access galleries on this website. The first is to use the Galleries anchor link on the top right of the front page. The second is to click on the three painting photos on the homepage.

The first of the three photos links to the original art gallery. This is where you can purchase framed or unframed one-off original paintings. The middle one links to the fine art prints gallery known as giclée prints and the third links to the figurative art collection which apper in other pages too.

To go back to the Homepage click on the site header (bassamandari.art) at the top of each page.

  • A: Yes, all the artwork featured on this website are original pieces created by me, either from imagination or based on photos that I take myself.

There are few exceptions with where I got permission to create portraits from photos taken by friends

  • A: I use specialised art printing services that produce giclée prints. That is archival quality fine art prints that are as close as can be to the original paintings.

Some of the artwork is reproduced in the form of limited edition prints and you can search for “limited edition” using the “Search” button of the front page to see which ones are.

I provide signed certificate of authenticity with limited editions.

If you have specific requirements that I can meet please contact me before you place your order.

Please note that prints ship directly from the printer and you miht receive thecertificate of authenticity separately. If you want the together please state that in your order knowing that there might then be a slight delay in despatching your print.

  • A: All you need to do is press the purchase button that will take you to the shopping cart where you need to fill in the required information for payment and shipping.

  • A: When you click on an image you will reveal the full picture and a brief description of the subject, the medium it’s painted in, the size, the print and more.

If you find that you need to ask more questions please use the contact form and I will be happy to answer you.

  • A: I recommend that you scroll down and explore the art in each of the galleries on this website to see if you can find a favourite.

However, you can use the categories at the top of each gallery to find your request. So, for example,  if you like landscape, click on Landscape and it will show you the landscape collection on the page you are viewing.

To view a certain category (like landscape) across the original and printed artworks together please use the SEARCH button at the top right for the homepage and type a category or the name of a painting if you know it.

  • A: In most cases the size of prints is identical or as close as possible to the original.

The size is chosen to show the printed piece at its best in terms of colour and resolution.

I choose the high quality fine art paper for each print based on how it was painted. If the original was textured I choose textured paper to stay true to the spirit of the painting. The same principle is used for other types of paintings.

Can I change the size an the paper?

In theory you can, but it is not straight forward.

If you want to change my recommendation please contact me before you purchase your print. because this might affect the price of your print, the delivery time and the payment method.

    • The cost will be displayed during the checkout process once you’ve entered your address and destination country.

    • If your get a message saying that we cannot ship to your country it might be because my shipping company charges high fees or do not provide insurance for art shipments to that country.
